My Personal Staff III

This is my personal staff, it was actualy carved about ten years ago.

It's been raining for three days and the sun finaly came out today, so I trudged out into the yard and took a few pics.

This staff was dug by My father and I when I was eleven or twelve, I then took it home and let it air dry before pruning the bark off and beggining the carving process.

It's about 6ft tall and EXTREMELY hard wood. This took me many many hour of hard work, and in the end I loved it so much natural that I could not bring myself to carve the designs into it that I had planned on.

The top consists of the root of the tree, then about a foot "down" from it there's a nice twist, then at the very end there is another twist, the branch in the middle makes a great carrying handle.

This staff has never truly been finished, one day I plan on affixing some crystal to the top as there is a flat rot that just screams for an orb or pointed one on there, I always think something representing the moon should be put there. but I have yet to find the perfect crystal, and as it is mine own staff, I have the time to wait for it to come along.
